Earthly Labs, a Chart Industries company, is growing and expanding its installation team. We are seeking highly motivated, hardworking talent who shares our passion for sustainability, customer value, and top-notch performance. The Earthly Labs installer oversees installation of the CiCi unit, on-site training and post-sale follow-up technical support to the brewery customer. They manage the customer experience from pre-install to installation design, to installation. To perform this role, an installer will have knowledge of installing industrial equipment, or gas equipment. In addition, they have knowledge of the beer making process and the machinery used on the production line to make integration easy. The installer is typically the first point of contact when a technical problem occurs in a brewery. A person in this role will work independently and oversee all aspects of the installation in a brewery.

 

This position may be local to our Austin, Tx office or remote. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

 

  • Review with brewery client the final installation design of the solution to ensure the adequate design is in place and parts are ordered prior to arrival. 
  • Installation – Working to install CO2 piping integrating with on-site facilities, install unit and ensure running.  Troubleshooting as required.
  • Training the customer which includes use of system, maintenance, clean in place, use of CO2 in system, and use of computer / remote monitoring.
  • Software control installation and updates.
  • Travel required to install projects. Individual must have ability to manage project independently. All installations must be completed to a specific budget and timeline.
  • Installer is required to take safety courses or heed brewery safety guidelines while on-site. These will be assessed pre-install to ensure the installer meets needs.
  • Balance delivery time with process quality
  • Prioritize workload to ensure maximum business effectiveness
  • Working in conjunction with department heads, the brewing installer will employ strategies to achieve installation goals and to reach KPI targets.
  • Travels 70-90%

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

 

  • 5+ years experience in the brewing industry
  • Computer skills including the use of project management software, spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Skills working with refrigeration, HVAC systems, PLC, fermenters and brite tanks.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing skills
  • PLC programming, electrical and instrumentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Results orientated with strong attention to detail

Your Education Should Be…

 

Bachelor's degree preferred (process control, electrical engineering or process engineering is ideal)

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and ladder climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
