Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Opportunity to play a key role in an international, $1 Billion+ publicly traded company headquartered outside of Atlanta. This is a high visibility role with significant growth opportunities within the corporate accounting, intercompany and global consolidations team. The role will interface with our corporate finance and reporting teams, along with our global finance teams supporting our segments and divisions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, the desire to drive change and process improvement, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting activities, including:
    • Preparing and recording corporate journal entries
    • Researching GL account activity
    • Preparing advanced balance sheet reconciliations (using BlackLine)
    • Assisting with SEC reporting (10-K’s, 10-Q’s, 8-K’s, exhibits in Proxy, earnings releases, and other)
    • Maintain foreign currency rates and complete monthly revaluations
    • Record monthly allocations globally, including quarterly analysis and true-ups
    • Assist with reconciling intercompany, including P&L, assets, liabilities and equity
    • Maintain and record global monthly orders and backlog
    • Record annual statutory adjustments and respective GAAP ledger entries
    • Identifying and executing process improvements and efficiencies
    • Preparing ad hoc reports and assisting with special projects, as requested, and
    • Coordinating certain close and other accounting activities with Chart’s accounting teams across the US, Europe, and Asia.
  • Accounting ownership of certain legal entity ledgers and corporate balance sheet accounts
  • Working with the external and internal auditors, as needed

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of corporate accounting (or equivalent) required
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP required
  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS) required
  • Experience with large ERP system required (JDE Enterprise One preferred)
  • Foreign currency & international accounting experience preferred
  • Legal entity / intercompany accounting experience preferred

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4-year college or university is required
  • Master’s degree / CPA (or CPA track) / CMA preferred

 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
