We have domestic operations located across the United States, including principal executive offices located in Georgia, and an international presence in Asia, Australia, Europe, and Latin America.

The Financial Reporting Accountant is a key role in our corporate reporting and accounting team located in Canton, GA.  The ideal candidate has a GAAP foundation, as demonstrated with either a Master’s Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and relevant work experience, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of management. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Assistance with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, which include:
    • SEC reporting (10-Ks, 10-Qs, footnote preparation, exhibits in the Annual Proxy, earnings releases and 8-Ks),
    • Equity statement preparation,
    • Debt reporting and preparation of corporate accruals,
    • Other statutory reporting,
    • Record corporate journal entries,
    • Research GL account activity, and
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare U.S. Census Bureau surveys and reports.
  • Identify and execute process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate certain close and other accounting activities with Chart’s accounting teams worldwide, across the U.S., Europe and Asia.
  • Provide support and assistance to internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and assisting with special projects, as requested.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with relevant work experience (up to 3 years).

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from 4-year college or university is required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA (or CPA track) preferred.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting.
