The HR Generalist is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle human resources support to our production facility. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.  The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A successful HR Generalist will be a nimble learner with the ability to apply strong problem-solving and sound judgement skills.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Sources, recruits, screens and interviews candidates to fill orgnaizational roles and assist with the development and implementation of workforce planning activites.
  • Consults with leaders, providing guidance and coaching that enables effective performance management conversations. Partners with leaders to execute corrective action processes.
  • Partners with leaders to evaluate and address workforce planning needs. Develops an understanding of the current business landscape, future business strategies, and annual budgets to provide guidance on personnel changes. Assist in the creation of job specifications.
  • Executes talent management processes. Consults with leaders to ensure performance management practices are effective and completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicates and interprets Company policies and procedures to leadership. Serves as the primary source of information pertaining to Company policy and HR procedures. Seeks assistance from the HR Manager when responding to non-routine inquiries.
  • Produces ad hoc reports and present results on HR metrics.
  • Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Champions HR initiatives in support of an employee-focused culture with an emphasis on safety, quality, key employee retention, change management and continuous improvement.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Proficient knowledge of FMLA/ADA issues and a proven track record of executing that knowledge.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong, trusting relationships across the organization and divisions.
  • Ability to use research methods effectively, including data collection, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge of benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, etc.
  • The ability to serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies, and providing guidance.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in daily tasks.

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 1 to 5 years of generalist work experience, preferably within a manufacturing organization.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
