Ensuring Chart’s Success…
As a key member of the Quality team, you will specialize in a wide variety of activities to support production teams in assuring that industrial products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications and required codes, standards, and procedures. You will assist in the development, maintenance, and documenting of Quality System processes within QuickBase, JDE Edwards E-1, Master Control, and internal generated software systems.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Assist in reviewing job packets to ensure compliance to quality, code, and customer requirements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining manufacturing travelers (Device History Records) to comply with all quality requirements defined by codes, standards, or customers.
- Assist in performing maintenance of item master with respect to inspection, clearing and certification codes. Periodically review item master descriptions for code and specification requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and registering national board numbers for tanks and assist with maintaining quality records.
- Assist in maintaining records of engineering and quality system documentation releases and changes.
- Assist in reviewing bills of materials and routing information. Assist with entering and maintaining JDE Item Master, Branch Plant, Bills of materials and routing information.
- Participate in dedicated product improvement teams.
- Assist in reviewing inspection and/or testing procedures/work instructions for quality related processes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 3-5 years’ experience of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or Quality Compliance in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ITP’s, blueprints, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Knowledge of ASME, AAR, ASTM, DOT, ISO 9001.
- Experience participating with internal and external auditing.
- Skilled in the ability to manage multiple projects at a given time.
- Strong knowledge base required in MS Office Software programs (such as MS Word, Excel, etc.) for data collection, analysis, and report generation
- Detail oriented, with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Effectively present information to all levels of the organization and respond to questions in a timely manner
- General knowledge of ISO procedures, JD Edwards E1, reading BOM’S/blueprints preferred
- Knowledge or experience working with pressure vessels desired

- High school diploma or equivalent

- The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color evaluations, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Infrequent exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash, chemical odors, temperature extremes and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation
