What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Analyze critical to safety design attributes of cryogenic systems
  • Develop, Perform, and train to various calculations and analyses such as, but not limited to, fluid flow analysis, heat leak, pressure vessel thickness, pressure-building, vaporizer sizing, and/or piping and valve sizing, etc.
  • Develop risk analysis procedures involving release consequence analysis and probability of failure
  • Work in Standards Development Organizations to drive regulatory standards
  • Document design standards and policy for global use
  • Work with engineering teams and customers to gain a better understanding of the system requirements and their implications to the system design and proposed solution.
  • On occasion, support the Proposals Team with quotation assistance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Your Education Should Be…

  • BS degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • MS degree and/or MBA is a plus
  • Professional License a plus

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Office environment
  • Engineering lab include outdoor testing
  • Work related travel required (approximately 30% maximum)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, sitting and walking
  • Frequent computer work

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 10+ years of experience preferred in the engineering, design, fabrication and commissioning of mechanical equipment used in the cryogenic pressure vessel or process industry
  • Working knowledge of industrial codes and common engineering practices used within the oil and gas industry. Codes of specific interest are ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1, NFPA 52/59A/55/2
  • Mastery of heat transfer, structural analysis, and fluid flow.
  • Mastery of cryogenic liquids, compressed gas, and their properties.
  • Experience with MathCAD calculation software
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks® CAD modeling software, preferred
  • Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP and PDM software, preferred
  • Experience with mass manufacturing facilities, preferred
