Chart Industries is currently seeking for Quality Manager based in Beasley, TX. The QA Manager is a hands on working manager who works with minimal supervision to establish systems and processes to ensure products are manufactured and tested in compliance with internal and external standards and meets customer expectations. You will measure and report on performance and trends in product quality and take the lead in continuous improvement, and analyze quality issues and non-conformances and documents all corrective and preventive actions. This individual should leads by example to establish a customer focused (internal and external) Quality Team.

What Will You Do?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain HPC’s ASME and NB Code Stamps/Certifications
• Conducts internal audits to ensure conformance to required quality
• Manage QA/QC Team to ensure production needs are met while ensuring product quality
• Work with Purchasing team to establish and maintain vendor product quality including site audits and qualification reviews for new vendors
• Work with vendors to provide resources for NDT testing on-site and laboratory testing of weld mockup/welder test samples (assist Welding Engineer)
• Maintain calibration of all required HPC instrumentation
• Manage department procedures & documentation
• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability
• Assist other departments with procedures & documentation
• Lead Analysis of quality and production process issues and non-nonformances to provide corrective/preventive action
• Work with Operations to inspect work in-process to improve overall productivity and minimize costs associated with Non-Conforming Parts/Materials
• Establish Quality Metrics including reporting and continuous improvement initiatives to improve metrics
• QITP’s (Quality Inspection Test Plans) and NDE plans for each customer order
• Product Testing – NDE, Leak, Pressure, Noise, Weld Mockups, etc.
• Champion for Continuous Improvement
• Maintain all relevant Quality Data and generates Quality Data Books for all customer orders
• Investigates customer complaints and takes corrective action when needed while providing detailed reporting of the incident to Project Management
• Establishes goals for Quality team in support of HPC initiatives
• Weekly reporting

Your Experience Should Be...

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering

Minimum Experience:
• 10 years in a Quality manager role, managing a team of 10+ employees 



Skills Required (i.e. certifications, licenses, registrations, etc.):
• Supervision
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are required
• Knowledge of Metal Fabrication – Cutting, forming and welding of structures or machinery
• Experience with NDT (RT, UT, MPI, LPI, Hydro)
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience with Calibration and NIST Standards
• Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g. API 661, ASME BPVC Section II, V, VIII, IX, ASME B16.5, B31.3,
• Welder Continuity and Traceability
• Familiar with basic metallurgical concepts such as heat treat methods, material grades and chemistries, manufacturing processes, NDT methods
