We are inviting you to join Howden and become a trusted and valued member of our Financial Accounting team, which is based in the Budapest Shared Service Centre. As a part of this vital team, you will have the opportunity to support numerous exciting projects in addition to your day-to-day tasks and engage in exciting and challenging work that will help you develop your skills and expertise.
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end financial accounting process globally, ensuring the application of US GAAP and local statutory requirements while also meeting other job-specific requirements, which are listed below.
What Will You Do?
- Following and maintaining work related processes
- Delivering quality work
- Completing tasks on or before deadline
- Ensuring compliance with SOX rules, policies and procedures
- Performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation tasks and investigating/correcting differences
- Participating in corporate reporting (CRS)
- Performing manual journal entries
- Performing month end and year end closing related tasks
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns/Intrastat/EC sales and purchases reporting
- Running other standard reports including any calculation needed for accruals, fixed assets, other revenues/costs
- Communicating with colleagues within SSC, Global Finance and Business Unit contacts
- Manual invoicing (recharges, scrapping)
- Processing bank account related transactions and reconciliation
- Processing Payments from e-banking systems
- Intercompany netting, processing settlement bookings and IC reconciliation
- Filing of all records so that they can be accessed in a timely manner
- Reporting weekly cash flow
Your Experience Should Be...
- University or college degree
- Financial background
- Fluent English
- Experience in accounting
- MS office - Excel
- Preferable ERP system knowledge
