What Will You Do?
• Work with Chart Weld Engineers to understand technical requirements in welding related field repairs.
• Work with subcontractors to facilitate all customer requirements depending on scope of technical offering.
• Track all costs in the course of field repairs/site visits.
• Travel to customer sites and oversee all project management scope. Including welding, testing, failure analysis, etc.
• Studies plant drawings, P &ID’s, manuals (IE: safety) etc. to assist with project management.
• Coordinate pre-job activities; equipment shipments and set-up, on-site required certifications, safety requirements, etc.
• Arrange for all site logistics for customer support requirements.
• Coordinate outside services (IE: Authorized Inspector) as needed for code approvals for repairs.
• Maintain adequate supply of tooling and consumables. Adjust supplies based on scope of work for particular job requirements.
• Issue detailed trip report covering all aspects of field repair/site visit.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis as requested by customer.
• Remain current with the necessary Certificates as required by the industry.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
• Up to 50% Travel, Domestic & International
• must be willing to be assigned to field for extended periods of time
• Must be able to travel internationally
• Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate
• On call nights, weekends and holidays as required
Your Experience Should Be...
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with BAHX, preferably in a field support and maintenance role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Driven, self-starter with the ability to accomplish goals in a timely manner. Must also be able to change priorities quickly to adapt to a fast moving project situation.
- Organized and logical thinker.
- Possess a high level of versatility and empathy. Be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization, including customers.
- Ability to work in adverse setting and climatic conditions
Your Education Should Be:
- BS/Associate Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering related field.
