Ensuring Chart’s Success…

“Cooler By Design” - Chart’s principal focus is the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment.  The applications we service are diverse from solutions for launching rockets into space to providing low carbon energy for vehicles, industries and even entire communities.  Pop into a well-known fast-food outlet and it’ll likely be Chart equipment supplying your carbonated beverage. If nitro coffee or nitro ice cream is your thing, well that’s Chart's technology too.  This role is located in our Ball Ground, GA facility with a Monday-Thursday work schedule, unless overtime is needed.

What Will You Do?

• Prep materials and cut pipe per blueprints and drawings
• Provide pre and final inspection looking for defects
• Manage drop (scrap) material for disposal
• Move raw materials as needed using a forklift and cart
• Perform manual tasks using basic hand tools, including electric and air tools
• Use tools, such as E1 (JDE) for BOM and drawing lookup and completes required documentation on all work
• Practice established safety and quality procedures
• Maintain clean work area following general acceptable housekeeping standards
• Perform all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
• May be assigned other duties

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role, including close vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Your Experience Should Be...

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Some previous experience working in a role that required understanding and interpreting BOMS, blueprints and drawings
• Basic math skills with ability to read a tape measure with accuracy
• Forklift experience or willingness to train and certify
• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical 
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekend hours, based on business needs

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED
• Automated crane experience
• Previous manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Familiarity with ISO procedures
