Howden Projects is looking for an Engineer in Training (Graduate) for an opportunity to gain experience within the Howden Projects (New build) division based in Midrand.  The successful candidate will be required to sssist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of engineering, planning, procurement, and construction activities.

The successful candidate will support the project team in planning, engineering, procurement, coordinating, and executing engineering and construction activities across various project phases. This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineering graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in project management, project controls, and engineering coordination within an EPC or industrial project environment.

What Will You Do?

• Support the preparation and monitoring of project schedules, milestones, and action items.
• Participate in project meetings and help track deliverables and deadlines.
• Support engineering tasks such as reviewing drawings, equipment specifications, and technical data sheets.
• Assist with gathering, validating, and organising documentation for project reviews.
• Work closely with discipline engineers to ensure technical information is available and accurate.
• Compile weekly and monthly project progress reports.
• Maintain project registers, including risk registers, action logs, RFI logs, and deliverable registers.
• Assist in maintaining proper document control, ensuring version accuracy and traceability.

Your Experience Should Be...

• BEng/ BSc/ B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering including Project Management.
• Has demonstrated potential (interview & engineering aptitude test).
• Computer Literacy in MS package.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
• Competent written communication.
• Valid driver’s license
