The E&C Quality Director is responsible for supporting the region to ensure our production lines are achieving world-class quality with a focus on productivity & cost efficiency. The position supports our quality processes by providing technical expertise, training & achieving certifications in ISO 9001 and other applicable quality programs.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
Management Rep for ISO 9001 quality system for E&C Cryo
- La Crosse, The Woodlands, New Iberia, Fronti, Franklin, and Tulsa BAHX are primary manfacturing/engineering sites.
Administers divisional procedures that are core to the QMS
- Management Review
- Corrective Actions
- Internal Audits
- Supplier Development/Qualification
- KPI development/monitoring
Ensure compliance with Codes and Standards - understand various codes and their impacts on each operation.
- ISO 90001
- ASME
Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel within the organization.
When required, implement needed quality systems or certifications at divisional sites.
Establish communication channels across the division and Chart globally to encourage best practice sharing, lessons learned, etc.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge through discovery of relevant training opportunities, benchmarking of state-of-the-art practices, etc.
Keeps Management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
Investigates and manages customer complaints related to Quality.
Your Education Should Be…
Minimum BS degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
Will consider candidates with equivalent professional experience.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Frequent sitting, walking and occasional standing, stooping, bending, twisting
The position will be split between an office and industrial environment with possible exposure to elevated noise levels, higher than normal temperatures, overhead objects, material with rough edges, and odors associated with cutting and welding.
The position will require occasional travel to sites within the region.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 5 - 10 years of experience - showing growth trajectory in the Quality field
- Significant experience and understanding of ISO 9001
- Proven record of accomplishment of understanding on how to facilitate a Quality Management System
- Comprehensive knowledge on internal audits, corrective action plans, and KPI development
- Ability to work with cross functional leaders across the organization
- Experience working with organizational codes and standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated in the ability to author reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively respond to questions from a variety of internal and external groups.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must possess a strong desire to help others learn; previous experience in training techniques required.
