Chart is looking for Safety Coordinator to help create a workplace that is safe, compliant, and conductive to successful growth. You will have the chance to use communication to conduct trainings and ensure an employee understanding of critical protocols. Working as part of a synergistic team, you will think critically to find and solve problems. Schedule will be flexible between 10AM - 8PM.
What Will You Do?
- Documenting, analyzing, and following up on injuries, safety suggestions, and near misses.
- Ensuring the organization complies with all current safety regulations and that all employees are aware of safety requirements.
- Inspecting workplace environments to verify compliance with federal laws, regulations and requirements.
- Assisting with accident investigationsto identify root problems, eliminate existing dangers & develop solutions that will reduce risk of other accidents from occurring
- Organizing in class & on floor safety trainings to instruct all workers on proper workplace behavior.
- Train & support Area managers, coordinators, & employees to complete their safety responsibilities while looking for continual improvement opportunities.
- Assisting with safety audits, new hire safety orientation, PPE assessments, safety comittee, ETC.
- Assessing and controlling hazards using JSAs, JHAs, and risk assessments.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the EHS Manager.
Your Education Should Be....
- High School diploma or GED required
- EMR/EMT/First Aid/AED/CPR preferred
- Vocational/technical training or bachelor’s degree preferred
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- Sitting, standing, stopping, bending, and other related tasks in an office setting
- May involve limited travel for additional training and visits to other Chart sites.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 40lbs
- Physical strength and stamina
- Shift flexibility
Your Professional Experience Should Be...
- 2+ years' of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Experienced in conflict resolution
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and incident investigation
- Project management or continuous improvement experience
- Basic leadership training or experience
