What Will You Do?
· Develop & document new tooling and processes that promote safe working practices and meet businessrequirements.
· Create/Update BoMs, Engineering Drawings, Work Instructions & other engineering-related documentation asrequired.
· Re-Engineer existing processes using Lean principles to eliminate waste and reduce lead times.
· Use data to resolve complicated process problems, systematically, via root cause analysis and theimplementation of effective solutions.
· Assist in the implementation of capital investment and continuous improvement projects that provide customervalue.
· Participate in cross functional groups to implement new products and processes.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Your Experience Should Be...
Minimum Requirements:
· BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
· 3 years of experience engineering the machining & assembly of mechanical products in a manufacturingenvironment.
· A strong mechanical aptitude. A ‘hands-on’ person with a passion for process improvement.
· Working knowledge of 3D modeling software required,
· Experience working with ERP software; I.e., setting up Bills of Material and Routes/Methods.
· The candidate should possess strong organizational and communication skills.
· A positive ‘Safety First’ attitude with the ability to interact effectively and partner with people at all levels;extremely skilled at developing and working with and through teams; a collaborative hands-on team player, resultsdriven and motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies; Lean/Six-Sigma certification preferred.
· SolidWorks proficiency.
· Proficient with various inspection techniques (automated & manual), tooling, and methodologies.
· 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing & assembly of mechanical products.
· The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in the optimization of machining & assembly processes.
