Chart is looking for a talented individual to play a key role in our corporate accounting department. This is a high visibility role with significant growth opportunities within the corporate accounting and financial reporting team.  The ideal candidate has a U.S. GAAP foundation, as demonstrated with either a Master’s Degree in Accounting, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and relevant work experience, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and partner with all levels of management. 

Role will be remote or hybrid working from a Chart location and/or home. Ideal locations are near Atlanta, GA; Canton, GA; and The Woodlands, TX 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Assist in the preparation of the financial reporting activities of Chart including the preparation and review and filing of periodic SEC forms, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, exhibits in the Annual Proxy, earnings releases and 8-Ks.
  • Prepare footnotes, MD&A, analysis or commentary, financial statements and other supporting documentation including the statement of cash flows in OneStream, GAAP checklists and financial statement tie-outs.
  • Prepare and/or review calculations, entries, reports and/or memos for certain accounting topics including, but not limited to, share-based compensation, earnings per share, debt instruments, investments, derivatives, pensions, business combinations, divestitures, asset impairment testing including goodwill and intangible assets, and segment reporting.
  • Create and disburse timely consolidated financial statements and other key management reports during our month-end close.
  • Research new and upcoming GAAP requirements and document technical GAAP positions, including the impact on Chart.
  • Support the corporate accounting and financial reporting team to create and update accounting policies and train accountants at corporate and the divisions on consistent application.
  • Provide support and assistance to internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and assisting with special projects, as requested.

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from 4-year college or university is required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • CPA (or CPA track) preferred.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Primarily office and computer work. 

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

3 years experience in public accounting servicing publicly traded clients or a publicly traded company completing SEC filings.
