What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Uses intermediate to advanced statistical analysis to validate or show deviations from existing standards
  • Uses advanced tools (such as calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, CMM)
  • Calibrates measurement equipment
  • Performs leak tests
  • Conducts dye penetrations test and weld size inspections
  • Conducts VT, PT, and UT inspections and analysis

Your Education Should Be…

High school diploma or GED

Some college preferred

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit. 
  • Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. 
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 2 - 5 years of quality technician experience, minimum 5 years in manufacturing
  • Certification in PT, UT, and VT
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
  • ASQ certification
  • Welding experience preferred
