What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Uses intermediate to advanced statistical analysis to validate or show deviations from existing standards
- Uses advanced tools (such as calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, CMM)
- Calibrates measurement equipment
- Performs leak tests
- Conducts dye penetrations test and weld size inspections
- Conducts VT, PT, and UT inspections and analysis
Your Education Should Be…
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit.
- Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 2 - 5 years of quality technician experience, minimum 5 years in manufacturing
- Certification in PT, UT, and VT
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
- ASQ certification
- Welding experience preferred
