We are seeking a strong, hands-on Procurement Manager to lead and integrate material management activities at our Tulsa, OK manufacturing facility. This role represents a step-change in leadership capability and will play a critical role in bringing together multiple business units (including D&S and Cryo), under a common, disciplined materials operating model.
This position will serve as a working foreman and people leader, responsible not only for directing the team, but also for actively participating in sourcing, purchase order execution, plant operations support, and logistics coordination. The Procurement Manager will lead a team of approximately 5 direct reports, with the opportunity to expand scope and organizational responsibility over time as the operation continues to mature.
Success in this role requires a leader who is comfortable on the shop floor, skilled in stakeholder management, and grounded in warehouse and inventory fundamentals, while also capable of operating at a higher strategic level across business units.
What Will You Do?
Provide day‑to‑day leadership for materials, purchasing, and logistics activities across the facility, ensuring alignment across all supported business units.
· Act as a hands‑on leader, directly supporting sourcing activities, supplier engagement, and purchase order creation as needed to ensure continuity of operations.
· Lead and develop a team of materials professionals, providing clear direction, coaching, and accountability while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
· Drive effective stakeholder engagement with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program teams to align material availability with production and customer commitments.
· Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met.
· Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, identifying opportunities for improved commercial terms, lead time reduction, and risk mitigation.
· Oversee inventory planning and control, ensuring material availability while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and working capital exposure.
· Partner closely with production leadership to support realistic production schedules based on material readiness and capacity constraints.
· Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, working with logistics providers to ensure safe, timely, and cost‑effective movement of materials and finished goods.
· Ensure accurate documentation and transactional discipline, including purchase orders, receiving, inventory transactions, and shipping records.
· Support and reinforce standard work, ethical sourcing, and process discipline across materials, logistics, and plant support activities.
· Identify opportunities to standardize and integrate processes across business units while respecting unique operational needs.
· Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance.

Your Experience Should Be...
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.
· Prior experience with leading a team, preferably more than 5 years.
· Progressive experience in materials management, purchasing, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Demonstrated ability to lead people while remaining hands‑on in day‑to‑day execution.
· Strong foundational knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow.
· Working knowledge of JDE (JD Edwards) ERP systems, including purchasing, inventory, and material transactions.
· Experience working across multiple internal stakeholders and business units.
· Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and logistics coordination.
· Proven ability to prioritize, problem‑solve, and make decisions in a fast‑paced plant environment.
· APICS, CPIM, CSCP, Lean, or Six Sigma experience desired but not required.
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
