What Will You Do?
- Support loading and unloading Shipping and Receiving dock.
- Ensures the receipts and paperwork for products, supplies, and materials.
- Ensures all products, materials, and supplies are transacted properly.
- Collaborates with drivers, vendors, internal and external customers professionally.
- Communicates through the entire shipment and logistical process of all finished products.
- Supports the production team on necessary shipment and logistical processes.
- Maintains a progressive, productive, positive, and collaborative work environment.
- Operates pallet jacks, forklifts, etc., to transport products, materials, and supplies.
- Performs all computer and systemic functions needed.
- Maintains safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Inspects incoming materials and supplies for accuracy, damage, and imperfections.
- Properly reports and documents shipment discrepancies and claims.
- Partners with production, purchasing, department leaders, and other relevant parties to rectify damages, imperfections, claims, and other discrepancies in the shipping and receiving materials and supplies promptly and efficiently.
- Will be assigned additional duties as necessary to support the department.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- Office and Manufacturing Plant Environment
- Warehouse driving such as forklift, lift trucks, etc
- Shipment transport, driving box truck, etc
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other movement as necessary
- Manufacturing Plant – required PPE when necessary
This position is classified as safety sensitive. Due to the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, the role requires heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols. Employees must be able to perform duties in a manner that ensures their own safety and the safety of others in the workplace
Your Experience Should Be...
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Industry knowledge preferred
- Ability to provide consistent team leadership daily.
- Freight handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
- Loading, unloading, handling freight and materials.
- Managing inventory, tracking and accounting for inventory transactions and variances.
- Knowledge of handling, tracking and filing shipping and billing paperwork.
- Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of time management, scheduling and prioritizing.
- Teamwork and team building skills.
