Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experience in doing so. This position supports the external and intercompany customer needs in the market by supporting independent sales representatives, regional sales managers, key accounts, and end customers.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Set up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears,
• Brakes, rollers, saws, seam welder, plasma cutter and punch press.
• Verifies conformance of work pieces to specification, using square, ruler and measuring tape.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Your Education Should Be…

• Five years of experience preferable in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a must
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings)
• Use a variety of hand tools
• Work independently and as part of a team

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Ability to lift up to 25lbs

• Mathematical aptitude necessary

• 2 years of previous experience

• Must possess mechanical aptitude

• Must be able to pass Drug Screening

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

Essential

•    Ability to obtain and maintain a proficient level of product/service/customer base knowledge. 
•    Ease in establishing and maintaining productive relationships both internally and externally
•    Experience in leading, developing and mentoring a professional team, providing hands-on support and influence through a continuous improvement mindset
•    Strong written and oral communication skills – an active listener with proven collaboration skills.
•    High competency w/ Microsoft Office Products: Word, Office, Excel, Powerpoint
•    Accomplished multi-tasker able to prioritize large volume of activity
•    Demonstrated technical know-how, analytical skills, and mechanical aptitude

Desirable
•    Experience with continuous improvement tools.
•    MRP / Baan business systems
