We are hiring a Painter for our Windsor, CT location.

What Will You Do?

Plan and perform a variety of the more difficult spray primer and/or finish painting including some material preparation such as sanding, wire brushing, degreasing, filing and other operations on a variety of generally finished products following established and new methods and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities: 
•    Work from work orders, specifications, color codes, charts, verbal and/or written instructions and other information to prepare and mix standard and special primers, sealers, coatings, enamels to proper consistency, using thinners, solvents as required.  Apply primers and/or coatings to prepared surfaces.
•    Follow work instructions to assemble machinery. 

•    Apply hammertown finish on tools, epoxy and varied acid resisting coatings as required.

•    Assist other painters as required with special paint mix requirements and applications.

•    Periodically clean paint booth; clean spray guns upon completion of usage, drain water from compressor.

•    Maintain inventory of paints, special mixes, thinner, etc. and notify supervisor when to reorder.  As required, estimate amount of paint material required on special jobs.

•    Maintain required records of work performed.

•    Maintain area in a safe, clean and orderly condition; follow all safety rules and regulations.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Your Experience Should Be...

    High school diploma or GED equivalent 
•    2 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
•    Ability to lift up to 25lbs
•    Must possess mechanical aptitude
•    Able to read and interpret work instructions from a computer
•    Pay attention to details
•    Wear specific PPE for the job
