Commercial Insights Manager
Date: Dec 8, 2025
Location: Barlborough, England, United Kingdom, S43 4XA
Company: Chart Industries
The Role
We’re seeking a commercially minded insights professional to transform complex and often fragmented data into meaningful, actionable insights. This role will play a critical part in shaping operational and commercial effectiveness across functions such as Revenue Operations, Sales, and Finance. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll surface trends, highlight opportunities or risks, and support decision-making with clear, self-driven analysis and reporting.
Who we are
Howden has a range of compressors, blowers, fans, steam turbines, and rotary heat exchangers, and has been at the forefront of developing engineered solutions for the needs of industrial processes since 1854. In 2023, Howden joined forces with Chart Industries, a global leader in engineered equipment for clean energy and industrial gas markets.
Together, we operate over 64 manufacturing sites and 50+ service centres worldwide, with 11,700+ employees driving innovation in hydrogen, carbon capture, energy recovery, nuclear, water treatment, mining, and LNG. As part of the Nexus of Clean™, we are advancing a sustainable future—helping customers improve efficiency and reduce emissions across clean power, water, food, and industrial sectors.
Join us and be part of a purpose-driven team shaping the future and tackling some of the planet’s most urgent challenges, all while growing your career in a dynamic global environment.
What you will do
1. Data Integration & Analysis
- Work with structured and unstructured data from disparate systems, including legacy ERPs and finance platforms.
- Consolidate and reconcile data across departments to provide a reliable foundation for analysis.
- Develop consistent models and queries to support revenue tracking, pipeline health, commercial forecasts, and performance dashboards.
2. Insight Generation
- Translate complex datasets into simplified, meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify data-driven patterns, commercial levers, and performance gaps across business units.
- Support recommendations with credible evidence—recognising that not all insights lead to action but all must inform understanding.
3. Visualisation & Reporting
- Build and maintain automated dashboards and reports in Power BI and/or Excel to monitor KPIs across Sales, Commercial, and RevOps.
- Present insights in clear, visually engaging formats tailored to the target audience—from local operational reviews to senior management briefings.
- Monitor data quality and make proactive suggestions to improve integrity, structure, and usability.
4. Collaboration & Business Partnering
- Liaise with regional teams, shared service functions, and data stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and pain points.
- Partner with CRM, BI, and systems teams to enhance data visibility and alignment.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by supplying insight that connects commercial performance with business decisions.
What do you bring?
An ideal candidate would likely have the following experience:
- Previous experience in a data analysis, commercial analytics, or business intelligence role.
- Strong proficiency in data visualisation (Power BI, Excel, or similar).
- Able to interpret multi-source data and present concise summaries to a mixed technical/non-technical audience.
- Understanding of data flows, system integration, and reporting in environments with fragmented architecture or legacy platforms.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail.
The outlined responsibilities and skills required do not necessitate years of experience. Provided you have knowledge and demonstrable experience of working with data and visualisation tools, have provided insight and analysis in some capacity, and you’re eager to learn and develop, then this position would suit you.
Experience working across global teams would be advantageous; we’re a global company built through acquisition, with many legacy ERP and CRM systems that will require a nuanced understanding in the long term. If you have additional European language skills, that would be a plus, but in no way is that necessary (the hiring manager doesn’t have any!)
