Ensuring Chart’s Success…
A technical education in mechanics, electronics, PLCs, electrical and/or rotating equipment with ten years experience preferred along with a superior aptitude and ability. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to teach and give operation and maintenance training, and interface well with customers. This position requires a person who can work independently, enjoys problem solving, and is willing to travel 50% - 80% of the time.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Perform process start-up activities, customer training, and electrical repair service carefully and precisely according to the specifications.
- Assure that complete information is obtained from the customer, Turblex Engineering, and the jobsite to perform the tasks.
- Confirm that all parts needed are at jobsite and jobsite is ready.
- Arrive at jobsite on time. If delayed, notify Electrical Engineering Manager or Customer Service Manager and jobsite personnel.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, parts and service when applicable.
- Submit accurate and complete service and expense reports in a timely manner.
- When at the main office, provide technical support (primarily electrical/plc related) via telephone to customers as needed, prepare for upcoming field visits, and assist with testing of LCP’s/MCP’s and department projects as assigned by Electrical Engineering Manager and/or Customer Service Manager.
- Perform Function testing with Shop Technicians per the Customer’s test requirements.
Your Education Should Be…
Accredited Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
• Lifting or carrying up to 35 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
• Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
• Indoor and Outdoor Manufacturing environment exposure on an as-needed basis.
• Repetitive hand movements
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
• Experience leveraging influence with and without authority to start-up new equipment and service or repair existing equipment according to guidelines and specifications.
• Identifying and recommending parts requiring replacement.
• Purchasing routine materials and/or supplies in the field to support the operation.
• Identifying unsafe field conditions and take measures to protect personnel safety and limit liability.
