Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart’s Painter position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products. This position will be responsible for operating a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. The Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. This position will be responsible for helping to produce high quality manufactured products used all over the world.

Open Interviews are held every Tuesday, please arrive between 1pm -2:45pm. Supervisors will be available to make same day offers.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Mixes and sprays different types of paints without supervision
  • Reads and understands paint gauges
  • Performs all required job duties
  • Ability to properly spray using a variety of paints in order to pass QC Standards
  • Ability to prepare parts to be painted (what to paint and what not to paint)
  • Ability to clean the paint gun and flush the paint system
  • Willingness to learn to troubleshoot basic maintenance error codes

Your Education Should Be…

High School diploma or GED

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in fiberglass conditions including long strand fibers and dust
  • Must be able to work outdoor and indoor
  • Must be able to work nights
  • Must be able to work in enclosed paint booth 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, bending, using hands, lifting, and walking
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 2+ years of industrial painting experience 
  • Ability to work in a fast pace work environment
  • Knowledge of paint spraying equipment
  • Knowledge of various types of paints
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
