Chart is looking for bright, talented candidates that have a desire for a career in an exciting and evolving industry. The Project Controls Specialist is a support position in the Project Management and Production Departments coordinating cost and schedule forecasting.

What Will You Do?

•    Work with the project cost estimates and schedules to ensure a comprehensive forecast of project expenditures.
•    Develop, update, maintain and manage synchronized production schedules and shop workload
•    Produce monthly reports depicting labor, equipment, material and major purchased components and their cost-in-time.
•    Track production KPIs and analyze trends to support continuous improvement
•    Assist accounting and purchasing to properly code and assign project costs.
•    Assist with reconciliation of estimates, budgets, and actual costs maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems, ensuring real-time visibility of production progress.
•    Track, report and forecast project cost.
•    Analyze cost and schedule for inefficiencies.
•    Incorporate manufacturing schedules in generating a forecast for project completion dates.
•    Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure production continuity and timely deliveries
•    Maintain individual project cost data on completed projects to support future bids.
•    Support Project Managers in contingency management.
•    Contribute to managing positive project cashflow through timely billings and collection support
•    Participate in the monthly project reviews.
•    Work closely with other PCD members to ensure a comprehensive team output.
•    Lead and facilitate routine production meetings with stakeholders to review performance, resolve issues, and align on plans
•    Coordinate “pass-through” projects across organizations where there is a need to involve multiple organizations in determined small and low complexity projects.
•    Partner with quality and compliance teams to uphold product standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain the highest ethical behavior while following Chart/Howden procedures, policies, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
•    Create and support a Team atmosphere and environment.

Your Experience Should Be...

Qualifications needed for success in position. 

•    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•    Proficient with software including Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, experience with J D Edwards E-1
•    Familiarity with production scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera, etc)
•    Self-starter with the ability to function is ambiguous situations.
•    Excellent planning and organization skills
•    Proficient with project cost allocations, project cost reporting and cost forecasting principles 

Education and Experience

•    Bachelor degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or other Technical Services Filed
•    2-5 years planning/scheduling and cost control experience in an EPC / EPF environment
•    Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO processes is a plus
