What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Troubleshoot, repair and install electrical equipment.
  • Work with engineering to modify and design various production equipment.
  • Performance testing using volt meters and ammeters.
  • Replace faulty elements of electrical systems, including sensors, Prox switches, limit switches, contactors, relays, etc.
  • Install motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits.
  • Assist with testing equipment, such as recording and analysis of results and document preparation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and make diagnostic assessment on moderate to complex PLC related issues.
  • Maintain a clean work area and general housekeeping standards.
  • Understand and practice established Chart safety and quality standards procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school certification or degree, a plus

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this role includes close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Loud noise level in the work environment.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex motor controls and other electrical related issues.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, design sketches, etc.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekend hours, if there is a business need.
  • PLC experience, a plus
  • ISO knowledge, a plus
