Ensuring Chart’s Success…

This position manages the facility and maintenance operations of an industrial manufacturing facility located in Ball Ground, GA.  Daily activities include providing daily direction to the maintenance team, and managing equipment, grounds and general needs of the manufacturing site.  The Facilities Maintenance Manager is also responsible for managing the RFP process when selecting vendors and contractors needed for projects associated with site expansion, office and manufacturing floor renovations.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Monitors status of maintenance projects and escalates concerns that could result in completion delays.
  • Receives and prioritizes maintenance requests based on urgency and available resources.
  • Supervises the maintenance team, which includes hiring, managing performance, assigning work schedules, and identifying and securing training needs.
  • Partners with plant personnel to address and find resolve equipment failures through root cause analysis.
  • Actively participates in site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manages preventative maintenance program for the site and inspects work for completeness.
  • Maintains records and documentation related to repairs and inspects equipment regularly to identify current and potential needs.
  • Manages vendors, contractors and subcontractors and actively involved in the request for proposal (RFP) process.
  • Understands, practices, and champions the company’s established safety procedures and quality standards.
  • May be responsible or assist with environmental compliance and reporting activities for the Ball Ground site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Provides production manufacturing support even though this is generally an office role.  Requires frequent standing, walking and sitting with occasional stooping and bending. Must be able to do occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. 

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 6+ years of experience related to managing the maintenance activities and team for a manufacturing/industrial facility.
  • Proven experience selecting and managing vendors, contractors, preventative maintenance programs, etc.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years leading a team.
