Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Product Specialist serves as the technical manager for respective product lines.  This position is the primary sponsor for product development and lifecycle management efforts and will work with the Product Engineer to ensure these efforts are successful.  The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring product lines meet the financial, quality, training and sales goals set by the Product Manager.  The Product Specialist serves as the point of contact for customers as well as the sales, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams.  This position will reside in Ball Ground, GA.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Support sales and marketing efforts to maximize sales/market share of products
  • Define Customer and Tech Service training requirements
  • Lead value engineering efforts through product engineering and CI teams
  • Aid in customer training
  • Sponsor NPD efforts with engineering team
  • Manage warranty claims
  • Lead product related CAPA efforts as appropriate
  • Assist Product Manager with managing inventory, price exception decisions, orders and sales forecasting
  • Assist Product Manager with development of the strategic plan
  • Utilize the S&OP process to ensure product business needs will be met

Your Education Should Be…

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a preferred major in marketing, business management or engineering.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Office environment providing production factory support, as needed
  • May lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
  • Frequent computer work

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 3 years of experience in sales, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Proven ability to engage with customers in a professional and trustworthy manner
  • Proven ability to educate and explain product functionality, both the "how" and the "why"
  • Experience working in a self-directed role and comfortable making decision independently
