The main focus of this job is to:
- Lead & develop the Heads and Fabrication Category strategies & implement related supply chain initiatives across the region (~$95M spend).
- Serve as the Category “subject matter expert” & build a community of category leaders to execute strategy.
- Manage & shape supply base to create a favorable advantage for Chart Industries operating companies
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
In this role, you will:
- Define category strategy & gain buy-in from key stakeholders for specific initiatives to execute strategy.
- Drive collaboration & best practice sharing among category representatives in Business Units.
- Continuously build & maintain funnel of savings initiatives and achieve verified savings targets.
- Support new supplier/product qualifications & implement measures to minimize quality, OTD, & cost risk.
- Identify & lead identification & execution of VAVE opportunities with suppliers.
- Collaborate with Chart low-cost country sourcing hubs and identify low cost country suppliers that can improve cost while maintaining high-levels of quality and delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advise stakeholders on all aspects of Heads and Fabrications including supplier capabilities, economic forecasting and trends, supply market changes, global currency fluctuations, ‘Should Cost’ model etc.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners.
- Implement Long-Term Agreements with Suppliers that define fair sharing of risk and accountability.
- Develop and manage communication plan, to include engagement activity, dissemination of sourcing strategy and compliance for spend among the Category Communities
Essential skills, knowledge & behaviours
- Degree in engineering, business administration, finance or related discipline
- Experience of working across multiple locations, understanding the constraints and working culture within themExperience within a project driven Engineer-To-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence and lead small teams
- Strategic focus with the ability to analyse, formulate and implement strategic procurement strategies to significantly reduce cost
- Experience in negotiating high-value, complex procurement agreements
- Excellent team player with the ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple customers
- Strong inter-personal skills
- Sets personal deliverables and maintains commitments
- Accurately captures, records and communicates information
- Enjoys difficult challenges, finding solutions not problems
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with an ability to clearly present ideas, concepts and processesAdvanced competency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Project & Power Point

Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- Minimum 3 years experience in Strategic Sourcing or commodities in a Manufacturing Environment
- Should have experience with Fabrication and/or Heads in Pressure Vessel
Your Education Should Be…
Bachelors in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or Similar
MBA is a plus
