Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart's Ball Ground, GA facility is currently seeking candidates interested in the position of Designer for our Cryobio freezer product line. The primary responsibility of the Designer is to address product development and product maintenance needs in a 3D CAD environment. The selected individual will be responsible for the design and improvement of parts and assemblies, creation and maintenance of detailed drawings, managing engineering change orders, etc. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Working with product engineers to create and revise designs
  • Creating and maintaining detailed component and assembly drawings
  • Creating and maintaining complex Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • Collaborating with key manufacturing and quality personnel regarding new and existing designs
  • Engaging in and facilitating meetings that focus on design reviews

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter and a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to JD Edwards, or similar ERP a plus
  • Strong skills in SolidWorks and PDM/PLM systems required
  • Experience with AutoDesk Inventor a plus
  • Medical device development experience and familarity with associated medical device compliance standards, also a plus
  • 3-5 Years Experience

Your Education Should Be…

  • AS or Technical degree required, preferably in Engineering or Science
  • BS degree a plus

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Production factory support and office environment
  • Occasional travel to customers, vendors, or other Chart locations is possible
  • Production floor environment will involve possible exposure to materials with rough edges, temperature extremes, moving mechanical parts, occasional flying debris, chemical cleaning solvents and their odors.
  • Working with cryogenic products will involve possible exposure to pressurized flammable gas, pressurized oxidizing gas, pressurized inert gas and very low temperatures (-320º F).
