Ensuring CAIRE’s Success…

CAIRE is a global engineering solutions and medical device company providing leading oxygen related products to the Healthcare and Industrial/Commercial markets.   We support customers in over 100 countries and have operating facilities in the US, Germany, UK, Italy, Japan and China. 

CAIRE was recently sold to NGK/NTK, a global industrial spark plug company with a growing healthcare and environmental portfolio of products.  CAIRE is a wholly owned subsidiary of NGK/NTK but operates predominately as an independent company with headquarters just north of Atlanta.

CAIRE has an aggressive growth agenda and requires a strong marketing leader to help lead all aspects of marketing for CAIRE and be a strong contributor to NGK/NTK’s medical strategic plan.  The VP, Marketing will sit on the CAIRE Leadership team and work hand in hand with the commercial, regulatory, operations and technical teams.  This position will report directly to the President & CEO of CAIRE.

Position Overview...

The VP, Marketing will develop and implement the global marketing strategy for CAIRE. The successful incumbent must be a true marketing leader, creative brand-builder, strategic-thinker, and high-energy individual with a proven track record of success.  The incumbent will be responsible for: developing marketing communications activities for all product groups, market insight/intelligence, strategy development and product management.  He/she will direct the marketing staff and coordinate activities across the organization and peer groups in sales, engineering, manufacturing, finance, quality/regulatory compliance, etc.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Essential Position Duties

  • Utilizes market intelligence, strategic planning, customer service and relationship building initiatives to ensure that CAIRE’s is building a competitive advantage.
  • Develops recommendations based on market insights on solution positioning, messaging, value proposition and differentiation in order to drive business growth.
  • Build, grow and mentor the marketing teams while providing strong leadership across the organization
  • Work hand in hand with Sales Leadership to develop and establish sales practices, geographic and market-specific strategies and ensures organizational alignment for those strategies.
  • Manages CAIRE’s sales and marketing messages while reinforcing/developing strong brand awareness
  • Drive strong product management best practices within team and across the organization  
  • Models and reinforce the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in order to create a results-driven and team-oriented environment.
  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry trends and marketing best practices.
  • Develops metrics and benchmarks to measure the Division’s market position.

Specific Position Duties

Strategy Development

  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Develop short- and long-term market and product strategies
  • Provides deep market and customer insight to help set Product Development Roadmap and serve as the as primary interface to product development team.
  • Liaison with parent company to ensure strategy alignment as well as help set broader organizational strategies

Product Management

  • Manages product portfolio from new product development throughout life cycle.
  • Provides deep market and customer insight serving as primary interface to product development team.
  • Understands profit model by segment, product, channel, region.
  • Maximizes operating income through a combination of price, volume and mix.
  • Determines actionable segments for markets and products based on trade-off analysis; segments may include customer, channel, product, region, reimbursement type, etc.
  • Leads periodic market research to test new hypotheses.

Price Management:

  • Determines effective marketing plans, channel, region and other segments to maximize market positioning and profitability.   
  • Develops value based pricing practices
  • Develops and maintains database and processes for improving pricing and margins at item level by customer, product, channel, region and other segments.
  • Develops and implements economic value-add solutions to improve pricing in the marketplace. Collaborates with customer service and sales groups to efficiently and accurately implement pricing strategy.

Lead Generation and Sales Funnel

  • Monitor all marketing campaigns and drive effectiveness
  • Develops and implements lead generation process, leveraging:
    • Reimbursement information – CMS and third party
    • Internet – SEO, social media, etc.
    • Company website
    • Clinical referral sources

 

 

Marketing Communications and Public Relations

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness
  • Ensures effective promotions and strategies are implemented to support business strategies – sales collateral, bulletins, customer message management, social media, etc.
  • Creates, implements and measures the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will position CAIRE’s brands and products to maximize market share.
  • Coordinates media interest inside the organization and ensures regular contact with target media sources; provides appropriate response to media requests.
  • Coordinates the appearance of all organizational prints and electronic materials (brochures, logo, trademarks, etc.)
  • Ensures the organization regularly conducts relevant market research and monitors trends.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 15+ years of commercial and marketing experience
  • Experience in medical device field and regulatory matters
  • Excellent research, writing and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of strategy development and execution

Your Education Should Be…

  • Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Bachelors degree required.  Prefer focus in business, marketing or engineering
