Date: Dec 3, 2025

Location: Chesterfield, England, United Kingdom, S42 5UY

The Role

At Howden, we are passionate about enabling our customers to achieve sustainable solutions through innovative engineering. As Project Manager for Cryogenic Systems, you will lead the delivery of cryogenic truck repair and overhaul projects across the UK. This is a highly technical and customer‑facing role, where you will oversee complex mechanical systems including braking, axles, suspension, and cryogenic components, often working with third‑party vendors to ensure projects are executed to the highest standards.

You will act as the single point of contact for clients, managing relationships and ensuring their requirements are fully understood and delivered. From sales handover through to project completion, you will coordinate resources, procurement, and schedules, while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.

This role requires close collaboration with internal teams such as engineering, quality assurance, production, and finance, as well as external suppliers and customers. You will be responsible for managing budgets, cash flows, and project margins, while providing regular updates to both management and clients.

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled project manager who thrives in dynamic environments, balancing operational detail with strategic oversight. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Howden’s reputation for engineering excellence and customer success.
