What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Integrate industrial control panel, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components for automated water treatment equipment and pump controls.
  • Wire electrical panels and electrical devices using small hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Point to point panel QA/QC.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Continue to build technical depth of Chart water processes.
  • Panel integration and wiring to systems on shop floor.
  • Wire components, panels, and assemblies, including PLC’s, motors, drives and power supplies.
  • Assist with equipment installation.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical school, a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works in a non-air-conditioned warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in assembly of electrical/mechanical components and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience reading schematics and understanding assembly drawings.
  • Some exposure or experience to troubleshooting control systems, a plus.
  • Must have a team player mindset.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, as needed, including weekends.
