We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team.
What Will You Do?
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall plant operations, including the manufacture of OEM equipment, quality control, sourcing and procurement, inventory and warehousing, and shipping and receiving. This role is accountable for meeting or exceeding the following:
• Safety: Provide leadership to plant personnel in following all safety protocols; lead teams to improve safety awareness and reduce incidents.
• People: Ensure all team members are educated and trained within their scope of work and ensure adherence to standards through process audits of training matrix.
• Quality: Collaborate with Quality Assurance team to meet target Quality KPI’s.
• OTD: Collaborate with Project Management team to deliver projects on time per agreed schedule.
• Cost: Drive cost improvement plans within area of responsibility and generate action plans to meet or exceed budgeted materials and labor costs
• Production Efficiency: Monitor and control monthly indirect costs in order minimize monthly manufacturing variance.
• Manage and grow the team: Use oral and written communication skills, establishing clear objectives and coaching employees to succeed and advance within the company.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Sit in an office and work on a computer for a long length of time. Physically visit different locations.
Your Experience Should Be...
Bachelors’ degree minimum
• 5 years minimum management experience in a manufacturing, and/or fabrication environment, preferably in a low volume, high mix environment.
• Supervisory, leadership, coaching, and continuous communication experience with salaried and hourly workforce is required
• Knowledge of manufacturing performance indicators such as productivity, utilization, and efficiency
• Required experience: strong working knowledge of assembly and welding of complex equipment, including mechanical and electrical competencies
• Intermediate understanding of financial principles
• Must foster an attitude of continuous improvement within the team
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and people simultaneously
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and to suppliers
• Computer competency, including MS Office Suite, ERP systems, and management reporting
