We are recruiting a CNC Machinist Programmer/Operator to join our Edmonton (AB) location.
Work schedule: Monday to Fricay from 7:30am - 4:00 pm.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

We are searching for a talented and experienced CNC machine operator who will be working on Haas VF3 & VF5 CNC Mills and ST30 Lathe. You will be responsible for, but not limited too:

  • Program, setup and operate CNC lathes and mills.
  • Identify job hazards, understand, and develop job safety analysis sheets.
  • Read and work from prints, process sheets, written and verbal instructions to tolerances of .0005”.
  • Select and use appropriate gauges, calipers, micrometers to measure work.
  • Work with all metallic and non-metallic materials.
  • Work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Learn and use CPI products, services, and systems used in business.
  • Write and follow routine procedures.
  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble and test reconditioned components.
  • Fill out inspection reports and take personal ownership of quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

⦁    High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); relevant CNC post-secondary certificate/diploma
⦁    Progressive experience as a Journey Machinist or Millwright, and knowledge of machining reciprocating Compression Manufacturing parts and/or components

 

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to program & run machines
  • Capable of producing parts from start to finish
  • Utilizing CNC Lathe & CNC mill (Haas)
  •  Must be able to use complex equipment requiring continuous attention.
  • Must be able to make minor decisions and ask identifying questions.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to understand and promote CPI’s safety standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully, orally and in writing, to build both internal and external relationships.
  • Must be able to routinely follow work orders and understand customer specifications with attention to safety and quality.
  • Team player with positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) oriented
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime as required.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

⦁    2-4 years’ experiences
⦁    CAM knowledge a plus (preferably Solidworks CAM, Esprit or Fusion)
