ESAB South Africa, a division of Howden MEA is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell the organisation’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or a list of customer accounts to meet sales target.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
  • Respond to customer queries.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority
  • Conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organisation so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and, prioritise and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
  • Assist Accounts department on timely debt collections.

Your Experience Should Be...

  • Degree or Diploma in Sales/ Marketing.
  • Engineering qualification would be advantageous.
  • 5 years relevant experience in sales or marketing within the gas and welding environment.
  • Product technical knowledge.
  • Be proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, aggressive and sales orientated

  • Team player and results driven.
  • Computer Literate
  • Influencing and selling skills
  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Projects
