ESAB South Africa, a division of Howden MEA is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell the organisation’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or a list of customer accounts to meet sales target.
What Will You Do?
- Pursue sales leads, visit existing and new customers.
- Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Respond to customer queries.
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority
- Conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
- Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organisation so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and, prioritise and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
- Assist Accounts department on timely debt collections.
Your Experience Should Be...
- Degree or Diploma in Sales/ Marketing.
- Engineering qualification would be advantageous.
- 5 years relevant experience in sales or marketing within the gas and welding environment.
- Product technical knowledge.
- Be proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, aggressive and sales orientated
- Customer focus
- Team player and results driven.
- Computer Literate
- Influencing and selling skills
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Projects
