Howden Netherlands B.V. in Hengelo designs, manufactures and sells industrial Cooling Fans worldwide. It serves as the ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Cooling Fans, with production facilities in Europe, China and Mexico. In addition we function as the regional service center for related Howden products. 

Howden’s range of industrial Cooling Fans are used as part of wet, dry and hybrid cooling systems and lead the way in high efficiency and low noise operation.

Our company is characterized by professionalism and a results-oriented approach. Since the acquisition of Chart, Howden is ready for a new phase of development and growth.

What will you do?

As Financial department within Howden Netherlands B.V., we also need to adapt to these new developments and changing requirements. And currently looking for a Business Controller to support us in this exciting journey. You will be based in Hengelo, The Netherlands.

Activities & Responsibilities:

• Leverage our ERP (Business Central)/Technology and reporting tools such as PowerBI to stay in control and optimize tasks and performance
• Take ownership of (ad-hoc) financial control and analysis activities, ensuring SOX compliance and delivering financial information and reporting that is accurate, timely, complete, and reliable.
• Create support by aligning business needs with Finance & Control objectives and organizational goals
• Develop a strong understanding of the business and the projects, challenge existing practices, and build effective cross-functional relationships
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying risks and opportunities to enhance financial performance, increase visibility, and strengthen awareness across the organization
• Serve as a strategic and sparring partner to operational and project teams, supporting financial performance management and decision-making across projects and contracts.

What do you bring?

Profile requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Control, Accounting or equivalent.
• Proven experience (2-5 years) in a similar financial function.
• Reporting qualitative correct data while meeting deadlines and expectation management.
• Experience with project administration (e.g. POC, percentage of completion).
• Strong presentation and analysis skills.
• Natural curiosity and proactiveness.
• Highly skilled in the use of Excel.
• Fluent English language skills, both verbal and in writing (fluent in Dutch, both verbal and in writing is a bonus).
• Experience with Windows D365 Business Central and/or Power BI is an advantage.

• Monthly gross base salary between €3.000,- and €7.100,- for a 40 hour work week (Actual offer will depend on exprience, knowledge and working background.)
