The Role
The External Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling and promoting CPI products and services within the territories for which you are responsible, ensuring all given targets are met or exceeded, by regular visits and contact with the customers ensuring they receive first class service, using our in-depth knowledge to become the customers trusted advisor.

What will you do...
- To ensure that the customer’s needs are met, from initial consultation, proposal, (both technical and commercial), production, delivery, installation and after sales support.
- Continual development of new customers and maintaining the existing customer base.
- To be fully trained in all aspects of the business both technically and commercially, to ensure you give clear and accurate information to customers & internal stakeholders.
- To regularly report to the UK Territory Sales Manager on all visits, market and competitor information, and account planning to reach business objectives for growth.
- Adhere to all Howden Group policies, values, procedures and business ethics codes.
- Fully comply to Howden EHS policies, rules, regulations and legislation.
- Take all reasonable care for own personal health and safety, as well as for that of everyone who may directly or indirectly be affected by your action in your workplace.
What do you bring...
- Advanced apprenticeship in Engineering, minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a customer service role, or relevant experience.
- Highly motivated.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
