The Role

 

 

Due to a pending retirement, CPI (part of the Howden Group) are recruiting for an Inside Sales Engineer to join our site based in Hungerford. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be responsible for providing support to our Area Sales Managers, agents and customers and liaising with the workshop on product delivery. You will be required to process orders efficiently, prepare
technical/commercial proposals, produce reliable quotations, and handle other general administration work.

What you will do

 

 

  • Process orders efficiently, prepare technical/commercial proposals, produce reliable quotations, and handle other general administration work.
  • Progress outstanding quotations to ensure order targets and forecasting requirements are met.
  • Providing support to our Area Sales Managers and customers and liaising with the workshop on product delivery. 
  • Deploy a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of your role 
  • You will liaise with other departments to improve workflow processes where possible

 

 

What do you bring?

 

The ideal candidate will likely have the following profile;

 

  • A technical qualification e.g., ONC in Mechanical Engineering OR hold A Levels in maths/science
  • Proven customer service skills 
  • Possess great communication skills and be IT literate
  • Demonstrate an ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Ability to use your own initiative and be self-motivated
  • Willingness to learn and be able to work as part of a team
  • Having some experience in the manufacturing and engineering industry is desirable but not essential
