Field Service Specialist - Mechanical must support Field Service and Aftermarket growth in securing service and retrofit on own installed base and competitions installed base. In close relationship with both Aftermarket, Engineering. The FSS must service all customers professionally and secure a high degree of customer satisfaction. Technical Advisor are expected to work consistently with securing on time delivery of support, to customers and business partners.

 

The main purpose of the job will include the following scope:

  1. New installed base supervision, maintenance, service & retrofit support.
  2. Identify new opportunities - Sales, service agreements, technical support/solutions etc.
  3. Project- Team Management (non-commercial)
  4. Support on technical issues on site and internal in Howden
  5. Secure that our clients utilize our equipment according to manuals and documentation

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • The responsibilities for this position include on-site technical support, encompassing tasks such as new installations, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform field service activities in accordance with manuals and technical documents.
  • Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshop.
  • Ensure that all work is executed in compliance with HSE guidelines and local regulations.
  • Prepare progress reports, work reports, test results and verification documents.
  • Protection and the development of Howden market share and market position
  • Advise our customers out from Howdens Specifications/Standards and tolerance, to secure the best value and results.
  • Respect for the company rules and general guidelines - set by management.
  • Participate in start-up meetings - Service jobs, Share know-how with other internal Howden Staff.
  • The Person needs to be flexible, a good listener, can advise the customer in the best way. Could work under pressure, reporting back to head office, be proactive.
     

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Applicants should hold a degree from technical departments of universities or vocational technical school.
  • Preferably, candidates should have experience with rotating equipment such as fans, blowers, compressors, and turbines. 
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience is needed
  • Technical background/Skills.
  • Service-minded and understand the importance of identifying customer needs.
  • Friendly and efficient communications with colleagues and customers
  • Persistent and used to working independently.
  • Prioritizes tasks according to resources and deadlines.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Good command of MS Office programs.
  • Good command of English
  • B class driving license is required
  • No military obligation
  • Site experience.
  • Mechanicals skills.
