Reporting to the Controller of Field Service, the Senior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding project setup, payments, reports and any other finance related duties related to the project. The Senior Accountant will have relevant experience with all areas of financial accounting in addition to relationship management within finance, sales, supply chain, operations, and the other business units.

 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Manage project closeouts, invoices, and payments for assigned projects, including T&M field service and manufacturing projects
  • Assist with project accounting including POC revenue recognition
  • Support the project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department
  • Monitor operational data to assure data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist controller in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements
  • Review financial data periodically to ensure fairness and completeness of the data
  • Assist in the month end close process, including the preparation of monthly journal entries
  • Manages general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist controller in the direction of the accounting functions of a growing organization as responsibilities for additional divisions are assumed
  • Assist controller with a variety of tasks as needed

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or similar business degree
  • Associate’s degree with suitable experience will be considered
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • 3+ years of accounting experience (project / management accounting preferred)
  • Key competencies are communication, teamwork, initiative, and dependability
  • Understand Time & Material billing, including labor and absorption applications
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written)
  • Has excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills
  • Exhibits strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology
  • Excellent Excel skills are needed and experience in an ERP financial implementation is a plus

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Primarily in an office environment - walking, standing, and other office related activities
