The Continuous Improvement Manager will be located at the LaCrosse, WI Chart Industries Facility.

  • Lead the development, management, and implementation of the improvement strategy for Brazed Aluminum Heat Exchanger product line, focusing on the improvement of Business excellence, on time delivery, quality of service to customer expectations, and margin performance.
  • Provide CI expertise and coaching required to direct and facilitate the business unit to achieve its budget goals and long-term growth objectives via progression toward world-class business performance.
  • Support the development of team performance by providing an energized and engaged approach to improvement activity with effective communication and change management. 
  • Work with leadership in defining and developing improvement plans for critical business processes.
  • Collect and conduct data analysis of current state performance working with leadership teams to understand key improvement opportunities.
  • Train, deliver, and transfer knowledge of the CI methods and thinking. Develop roadmaps and KPI tracking for business value streams. 

What Will You Do?

  • Drive the implementation of robust CI standards and Daily Management processes across the site and embed a culture of problem solving. 
  • Lead improvement events (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5&6S) including scoping, event planning, facilitation, and action planning.
  • Drive improvement actions and embed role within processes to ensure stable and sustainable processes.
  • Develop a CI engagement strategy and create an action plan to achieve the CI vision.
  • Drive a standardized and common approach to continuous process improvement in alignment with other Cryo sites.
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of Policy Deployment initiatives. 
  • Support Operations in identifying and realizing improvement opportunities where appropriate.
  • Proactively drive use of "best CI practice," learning from external businesses and perspectives.

Your Professional Experience Should Be...

Essential Skills:

  • Over 5 years of structured problem-solving and CI event planning (E.g., Kaizen, value stream mapping).
  • Experience in lean business transformation across various industries and functions. 
  • Strong program management and training delivery skills.
  • Coaching individuals through change and process improvements.
  • Recognized Lean/6 Sigma training, strategic thinking capability, and effective communication abilities at all organizational levels.
  • Accountability, approachability, and assertiveness.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Occasional business travel. Some tasks and responsibilities require working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing plant. Will be subject to working in conditions typical to a manufacturing plant, including but not limited to: loud noise, dust and chemicals. When in the plant, Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. Including but not limited to: safety headwear, footwear, eye, hearing, and hand protection. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, walk for long periods of time, bend and stoop repetitively, and handle repetitious activity for long periods of time. Must be able to withstand working in both an office and manufacturing plant environment. Must be able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time.
