Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels and other cryogenic equipment as used for the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users of this equipment include all the major LNG, petrochemical and air separation engineering on a worldwide basis. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Prepare base metal by sand blasting or mechanical preparation per project paint specification.

Apply required coatings per project paint specification

Familiar with OSHA and EPA guidelines and procedures

Mixing of paint as per project paint specification

Maintain sand hopper levels.

Maintain blasting and painting equipment

Properly maintain and/or dispose of waste paint material

Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft

Perform other general labor task assignments including cleaning of parts, maintaining facility cleanliness, ect.

Add’l duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Your Education Should Be…

High school and/or technical program

2-5+ years in related field

Education may be substituted by extended experience.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

Required to work at elevated heights up to 75ft.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

2-5+ years in related field.

Must have through knowledge of departmental operations.

Must have a complete support of safety procedures.        

Must have thorough knowledge of shop standards.

Must be able to communicate professionally with people at all levels and remain calm and objective.                                                                                        

Be a self-starter, creative thinker, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.       

Must have good communication skills, especially orally.
