Our team will be hosting a hiring event for welders on Thursday, November 19th & December 10th from 11 am to 3 pm at our facility in New Prague, MN.  

Interested candidates/applicants should apply on our website or arrive with a resume and be prepared to complete the application process, perform a weld test, and to meet with our hiring managers. Those attending the event should wear full length pants, a mask, and safety toed shoes and bring whatever PPE they would like otherwise we have it available.  

Our main office address is 407 7th St NW New Prague, MN 56071. Please use this address, as we have several buildings on our property and typing “Chart” into a GPS typically brings people to the wrong location.

Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart's Generalist position plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products.  Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in a Generalist position and night shift.  This position will be responsible for assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions.


What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Help prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing)
  • Maintain required production and inspection records
  • Operating cranes and forklifts
  • Assist with the assembly of vessels
  • Blasting, grinding and painting
  • Maintain the necessary equipment to perform testing
  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies


Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Ability to perform basic MIG or TIG welding
  • Basic understanding of WPS and welder settings
  • Familiarity with use of hand tools
  • Pervious plumbing repair experience
  • Understanding and use of basic blueprints
  • Ability to use and understand various measuring devices


Your Education Should Be…

  • High School diploma or GED


Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs., occasional heavier lifting up to 60lbs. 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
