Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in the position of Machine Operator on the night shift.  Chart’s Machine Operator plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products with the operation and setup of CNC machinery.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
  • Operation of CNC machine for cutting piece parts and steel plate.
  • Set up our machines for each operation.
  • Position safety operation.
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on all assigned machines.
  • Maintain assigned shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain required production records.
  • Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work station with equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Your Education Should Be…
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training.
  • Completion of blueprint course.  
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials.
  • Frequent carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to metal cutting and welding odors.
  • May involve exposure to temperature extremes.
  • Exposure to overhead objects.
  • Exposure to occasional flying debris.
  • Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, welding helmets, and hard hats, (in designated areas).
  • Exposure to chemical cleaning solutions and their odors.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
  • Previous experience with the setup of CNC machinery.
  • Previous experience with various types of metals.
  • Previous machine/equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with the use of hand tools.
  • Familiarity of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures.
