The Project Management Office Manager will ensure our customer needs are met by leading a team of Project Managers. Critical success factors for this role includes developing people, enforcing the system development process, maximizing departmental output, and leadership. Individuals interested in this position must demonstrate leadership, be results-driven, and display strong collaborative skills.


What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers for current activities and career development
  • Coordinate, allocate, and prioritize resources for optimized utilization
  • Engage with sales on front-end, pre-project phases, and collaborating with other key persons on potential risk evaluation
  • Review, understand and interpret customer specifications and contract requirements
  • Coordinate final contract negotiations for high-risk projects
  • Define the needs for the project team establishment in terms of the roles, disciplines, and resources.
  • Create executive reports for the full project portfolio. These reports will highlight technical, financial, and scheduling risks.
  • Develop and help implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Define, estimate, and schedule project tasks and interdependencies to achieve the scope through a clearly defined project plan/work breakdown structure
  • Provide direction for in-house Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation phases
  • Coordinate material purchasing requirements, develop requisitions, and oversee vendor progress
  • Monitor/Control project schedule and costs
  • Provide technical guidance and problem resolution
  • Responsible for all commercial and administrative requirements
  • Follow company process & procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Education Should Be…

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university
  • PMI or PMP certification is desirable

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • This position will require the ability to move around the production floor
  • Lift up to 15 pounds
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
  • Travel up to 10%

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Minimum 8 years project management experience, preferably in a capital equipment manufacturing environment
  • Competency in adapting to changing environment and ambiguous situations
  • Managed multiple projects simultaneously
  • Executive level communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
  • Experience working with Industry Standard Codes (ASME, B31, ASTM, AWS, OSHA) and or international equivalents a plus
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, MS Project Online, Quickbase, experience with JD Edwards a plus
