Ensuring Chart’s Success…

The Product Specialist is responsible for supporting Application Development Manager’s (ADM) in developing and managing firm proposals, quotations, automated quote tools, technical sales, and be the subject matter expert within the Engineered Systems group. This position will be frequently engaged across large numbers of internal and external stakeholders to develop and quote solutions to vaporization applications.  The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Successful Product Specialists are committed to continually learning and exhibiting knowledge leadership and are passionate about generating winning solutions and growing the Engineered Systems business.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
  • Leverage existing tools to create quotes/proposals.
  • Performs engineering calculations to size engineered systems and assists in development of PFDs and P&IDs to ensure equipment and systems conform to Chart engineering design standards and customer specifications.
  • Assures that timely response is maintained by performing project development functions including supplier inquiry specifications and requisitions for bid and purchase, supplier bid analysis and supplier selection recommendations.
  • Assist in developing overall project schedules and budgets.
  • High level of customer interaction in developing their specific application solution from concept to order entry.
  • Contribute technical insights on strategic markets to Marketing, support white-papers or other SME submissions, and potentially present at conferences.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
  • 5-7 years of experience with engineering, design, fabrication, and testing of mechanical equipment is desirable.
  • Ability to utilize a broad knowledge of engineering practices to create and maintain a complete product design basis (e.g., calculations, drawings, bills of materials and validation testing data).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with design, field operation and maintenance personnel as required.
  • Working knowledge of industrial codes and common engineering practices used within the oil and gas industry. Codes of specific interest are ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1, and NFPA 52/59a.Desire and ability to do hands-on technical work.
  • Experience with ProE® or SolidWorks® CAD software.
Your Education Should Be…
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • This position will require the ability to move around the production floor and investigate issues with the production equipment.
  • Lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending and other related tasks in an office setting.
  • Willing and able to travel as required to meet company and project requirements (20-35%).
