The Project Controls Manager is responsible for providing all cost control and forecasting support throughout the project lifecycle and will support Project Managers and work closely with Project Accounting.


Position can be hybrid, prefer to be near New Prague, MN; Tulsa, OK; Canton, GA; The Woodlands, TX; Mobile, AL. 


What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Support project estimate, budget, and forecast development efforts
  • Cost (incurred/committed) tracking, earned value, change management, risk analysis, and forecasting
  • Work with Project Accounting to evaluate project progress for monthly cost accruals
  • Conduct meetings with Project Managers, Estimators, and Engineers to review and maintain project budgets/forecasts
  • Develop and maintain project schedules including weekly/monthly/quarterly comparative analyses
  • Maintain project forecast documentation and provide quarter-end/year-end support for project-related internal/external audit requirements
  • Perform other duties as required to meet business needs

Your Education Should Be…

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or other Technical Services Field

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting
  • Lift up to 15 pounds

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Planning/Scheduling/Project Controls in EPF/EPC environment
  • Understanding of project cost control fundamentals with analytical skills and experience in financial analysis, modeling, and budgeting methodologies
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Knowledge of percentage of completion accounting 
  • Industry experience in Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Major ERP system experience (JDE E1 experience a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency with MS products, specifically Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and capability to analyze financial data and prepare ad hoc reports and analyses
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and employ critical thinking skills
  • Capacity to produce quality deliverables within tight timeframes, simultaneously manage various projects and tasks, and respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage, motivate and mentor
