Ensuring Chart’s Success…
The Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to lead in all aspects of assuring Chart’s internal and external customers base is given the best possible products that meet all code and regulatory requirements, as well as meet or exceed Chart expectations related to component quality and function. They will help in Root Cause analysis, internal and external auditing of processes and lead continuous improvement and new tooling and equipment projects.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Help ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards
- Performs and coordinates internal audits/training to ensure continuing compliance with Quality System Standards (ISO 9001) and the manufacture of safe products
- Lead the investigation, resolution and prevention of product and process nonconformance and assigned corrective actions
- Work with the team to identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts to implement problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Performs statistical analysis of production process and report findings
- Utilizes internal and external supplier performance data and may work directly with key suppliers on improving quality of purchased materials
- May direct employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products
- Other duties as assigned
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- Frequent sitting and walking and occasional standing, stooping, bending, twisting
- Repetitive hand movements
- Work in an office and industrial manufacturing environment with possible exposure to temperature extremes, overhead objects, material with rough edges odors associated with cutting and welding
Your Education Should Be…
- 4-year degree, preferably in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- Experience in process improvement and Quality assurance.
- Proficiency with MS Office required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to problem solve; compose reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Fundamental knowledge of calibration of measurement devices.
- Some knowledge of ISO, DOT, Transport Canada, EN, ASME and ASTM standards are desirable but not needed.
