Quality Technician - Night Shift

Chart's Quality Technician position plays a key role in the inspection of Charts incoming materials, in process products and final inspection of completed components.

This position is on our night shift:
Monday-Thursday; 2:45pm-12:45am
Some overtime may be required.

There is an additional $2 per hour shift differential for working on the night shift. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

  • Initiating non-conformance reports and carrying out dispositions if required
  • Performing PMI on incoming material and in process work orders
  • Completing heat traceability logs
  • Perform incoming inspection on products routed to QC inspection
  • Perform in process inspections using standard inspection tools
  • Ensuring documentation is completed by performing spot check along the production line
  • Checking and confirming receiving documents, i.e. MTRs, CofC, Test Data etc.. using E1, Master Control and NP Certs
  • Daily monitoring of inspect and reject areas
  • Work closely with key areas to help process priority items quickly
  • Completing purchase requisitions and ICC requests as needed
  • Monitoring and completing calibration tasks in Master Control
  • Organizing and upkeep of department Calibration Cabinets
  • Perform decommissioning of worn or damaged equipment
  • Requesting new equipment or sending out worn or damaged equipment for repair
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

  • Familiarity with use of hand tools
  • Understanding and use of basic blueprints
  • Ability to use and understand various measuring devices

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
  • Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials
  • Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions

Your Education Should Be…

High School diploma or GED
