Are you an experienced legal professional with a strong ability to navigate complex contracts and provide strategic counsel? Chart Industries is seeking a proactive and motivated Legal Counsel to join our global team.

 

In this role, you will be instrumental in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and advising on applicable policies and laws. You will also contribute to legal risk management, dispute resolution, employment matters, and strategic M&A and restructuring projects, working closely with company leadership, specialist departments, and external counsel.

What Will You Do?

  • Draft, review, revise, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions, and other agreements, ensuring compliance with policy and applicable law.
  • Provide legal guidance to Chart business units across Europe and globally, supporting contract management and interpretation.
  • Manage legal risk, disputes, and litigation, working on employment matters, compliance initiatives, and corporate governance.
  • Lead and support approval processes, company secretarial compliance, and administration of internal corporate management systems.
  • Support M&A transactions and restructuring projects, ensuring legal integrity throughout the process.
  • Monitor and guide external legal counsel on matters affecting business operations.
  • Conduct training sessions on internal legal policies and provide proactive legal support to business units.

What Do You Bring?

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in the UK or EU jurisdiction.
  • Expertise in contract drafting, interpretation, and management.
  • Strong background in corporate law, dispute resolution, and negotiation.
  • Experience in policy implementation and compliance support.
  • Ability to navigate complex contracts in high-pressure situations with commercial acumen.
  • Professional English fluency and working proficiency in another European language (Italian highly advantageous).
  • Ability to work remotely while commuting to an office as part of a hybrid work setup.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AI legal tools is a plus.
